Information we collect and how we use it
The type of information we may collect includes, but is not limited to, the following:
Information you provide: When you REGISTER for a USER ID we ask you for personal information and information which is used purely for the purpose of providing you with context-sensitive data within the ProFIT28 web site.
Email Communication: We may from time to time use your email address to send you facility and/or service-specific information that is essential to your successful use of the ProFIT28 web site and/or facilities and/or services, usually in the event of some major facility and/or service improvement that significantly modifies the facilities and/or services.
Mailing List: We may from time to time send you an invitation to subscribe to our mailing list regarding one or more newsletters; each newsletter will include facility and/or service -specific information that has come to light in our ongoing experience. If you choose to decline the invitation you will not be sent the newsletter. If you initially subscribe to the newsletter then subsequently choose to remove yourself from the distribution list the facility to unsubscribe will be readily available to you.
Member Survey: We may from time to time send you an invitation to complete a MEMBER-SURVEY; the surveys might include questions about member satisfaction, seek ideas from existing members about improvements to the facilities and/or services they may want or ask for member-comment on proposed improvements and their priority.
Log information: When you access the ProFIT28 web site via a browser, application or other client our servers automatically record certain information. These server logs may include information such as your web request, your interaction with a service, Internet Protocol address, browser type, browser language, the date and time of your request and one or more cookies that may uniquely identify your browser or your account.
User communications: When you send email or other communications to ProFIT28 we may retain those communications in order to process your inquiries, respond to your requests and improve our services. When you send and receive SMS messages to or from one of our services that provides SMS functionality, we may collect and maintain information associated with those messages, such as the phone number, the wireless carrier associated with the phone number, the content of the message, and the date and time of the transaction. We may use your email address to communicate with you about our services under the conditions outlined above.
Location data: ProFIT28 may offer location-enabled services via Google Maps, Bing Maps, Latitude etc. If you use those services, ProFIT28 may receive information about your actual location (such as GPS signals sent by a mobile device) or information that can be used to approximate a location (such as a cell ID).
In addition to the above, we may use the information we collect to:
Provide, maintain, protect, and improve our facilities and/or services (including advertising services) and develop new facilities and/or services; and protect the rights or property of ProFIT28 or our members.
If we use this information in a manner different than the purpose for which it was collected, then we will ask for your consent prior to such use.
ProFIT28 process personal information on our servers in the United Kingdom and in other countries; we may process personal information outside your own country.
Choices: Most browsers are initially set up to accept cookies, but you can reset your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. However, some ProFIT28 web site features and services may not function properly if cookies are disabled.
Information sharing: ProFIT28 will only share personal information with other companies or individuals outside of ProFIT28 in the following limited circumstances:

Enforce applicable Terms of Service, including investigation of potential violations thereof

Protect against harm to the rights, property or safety of ProFIT28@ , its members or the public as required or permitted by law.
Accessing and updating personal information: When you use the ProFIT28 web site we make good faith efforts to provide you with access to your personal information and either to correct this data if it is inaccurate or to delete such data at your request if it is not otherwise required to be retained by law or for legitimate business purposes. We ask individual members to identify themselves and the information requested to be accessed, corrected or removed before processing such requests, and we may decline to process requests that are unreasonably repetitive or systematic, require disproportionate technical effort, jeopardize the privacy of others, or would be extremely impractical (for instance, requests concerning information residing on backup tapes), or for which access is not otherwise required. In any case where we provide information access and correction, we perform this service free of charge, except if doing so would require a disproportionate effort. Because of the way we maintain certain services, after you delete your information, residual copies may take a period of time before they are deleted from our active servers and may remain in our backup systems.
Enforcement: ProFIT28 adheres to the Law of the United Kingdom and specifically the Data Protection Act 1998. If we receive a formal written complaint, it is the policy of ProFIT28 to contact the complaining member regarding his or her concerns. We will cooperate with the appropriate regulatory authorities, including local data protection authorities, to resolve any complaints regarding the transfer of personal data that cannot be resolved between ProFIT28 and an individual.

Our Privacy Principles help guide decisions we make at every level of our company, so we can help protect and empower our members while we pursue our ongoing ambition to become the premier local provider of Fitness & Wellbeing facilities, coaching and support services.
In all our actions and policies we are guided by the following principles:
a. Use information to provide our members with valuable facilities and services.
It is the ambition of ProFIT28 to become the premier supplier for “best of breed” Fitness & Wellbeing facilities, coaching and support. When members share information with us, it allows us to develop facilities and services that are valuable to them and we believe that focusing on member-requirements creates both the best facilities and services and the most long-lasting relationships.
b. Develop facilities and services that reflect strong privacy standards and practices.
ProFIT28 will provide access to facilities and services on the leading edge of Fitness & Wellbeing and be party to the development of facilities and services that help members manage their activities, objectives and goals in a simple manner that reflects the highest standards of the industry. We comply with privacy laws, and are happy to work with members, regulators and industry partners to develop and implement strong privacy standards.
c. Make the collection of personal information transparent.
At ProFIT28 we strive to show members the information used to customise our facilities and services. Where appropriate, we aim to be transparent about the information we have about individual members and how we use that information to provide our facilities and services.
d. Give members meaningful choices to protect their privacy.
ProFIT28’s members’ privacy concerns and needs differ, one from another; to best serve the full range of our members we try to offer meaningful choices over the use of their personal information and believe personal information should not be held hostage. We are committed to building facilities and services that let members export their personal information to other services. We do not sell members’ personal information.
